Programs & Services
Gudjagang Ngara li-dhi are committed to providing quality services for Aboriginal families, children and young people.
The Aboriginal Family & Community Space
The Space was established as a support mechanism for Aboriginal families, children and young people and communities living on Darkinjung country experiencing vulnerability and/or disadvantage.
The Space is a community place that empowers the lives of Aboriginal people living on Darkinjung country and operates using existing community principles with ‘a new direction’. The community space provides positive opportunities for inclusion in relationships, community experiences and activities, connections to country, spirituality and culture that promote a true sense of belonging and happiness. Utilising a service coordination framework to maximise service provider network collaboration and complementary servicing, Aboriginal people are supported in a spirit of reciprocity to build their capacity building using ‘Ngara’, deep listening to one another through continual cultural learning.
The Space is vital for Aboriginal families, children and youth to move forward to build their social and economic capacity and independence. The goal of the service is to deliver responsive and flexible prevention, early intervention activities and supports to meet the needs of Aboriginal families, children and young people and communities.
